We are very in to dinosaurs since my dad brought us the Jurassic Park trilogy. I wasn't sure if the movies would scare them, but the kids assured me that they were ok with it and wouldn't let me hide them for a few years. 
Jaycie found several tracks and matched them to the chart that showed which dinosaur track she found. She was all about this because they do this in the movies when finding bones. Nathan was mainly slinging sand with the brush.
These were neat because you could move their tail, arms, etc. by pushing the buttons. They also roared very loudly. 
We couldn't get out of the zoo without stopping for this kid planned photo opportunity. We never made it to see the lions, but the statues are nice!

The kids found a mister that was on and took off to check it out. It was pretty hot and one of the only days without enough wind to cool us off. After this they were able to play at the play area for a bit before it was time to go. It was a fun afternoon at the zoo!
